Freeman’s Restaurant

Face it, as we get older, family gatherings have gotten more stressful. It’s no longer just eating and receiving gifts, but instead, your aunts/uncles/grandpas/grandmas gather round to pound you with questions about college, your major, if you have a girlfriend/boyfriend, etc. Freeman’s Restaurant is located in a hidden part of the lower east side between Chrystie and Bowery street. It gives off relaxing and peaceful vibes and is a great way to get away from life’s stress. They offer a variety of three course meals and desserts such as pickled pumpkin and apple salad, smoked trout, spiced lamb burger, smoked bluefish salad sandwich, and seared filet mignon. For desserts, there’s chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce, rum butterscotch with vanilla ice cream, and if you can’t decide, there’s always an ice cream of the day.
