Apex Legends, on PC alone, has over 28 million downloads and over 21 million on mobile. It has a total of 130 million players across all platforms, about 10% of which play daily, so it’s safe to say that Apex Legends have 10 million players playing daily across all platforms. In season 14, Apex Legends hit over 500,000 concurrent players for the first time.
So what exactly is so fun about Apex Legends that over 130 million players download it and more than 10 million players play it daily? Well, the game focuses a lot on team play, there are dozens of characters (legends) that you can choose from, with each having 3 unique abilities, and the game has a really fast pace. It’s designed to make the players constantly on the move. Apex Legends loosely takes the aspects of different kind of battle royale games before it, rearrangement of ziplines compared to Fortnite’s bounce pads, gunplay that’s similar to Blackout and PUBG, a map comparable to Blackout’s maps mixed with Fortnite’s, and have Legends, similar to hero shooters like Overwatch. If you are one of the few people who have never played, you should check it out.
