Fall In Love With This Game!

Fall In Love With This Game!

It’s February, the month of love! What? Sad that you don’t have a partner to spend it with? Do not worry, for this month is the release of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4! The Ultimate Ninja Storm series has a bunch of games, but this is the 4th main installment that continues the anime’s story, although it has its own twists, it still follows the anime/manga as best as it can, and it in fact is finishing the story of Masashi Kishimoto‘s Naruto Shippuden. It all started with the first Ultimate Ninja Storm game, which takes us into the beginning of Naruto, where we learn about the ways of the ninja and watch Naruto and Team 7 struggle to overcome obstacles and develop deep bonds, knowing very little that Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto’s best friend will go rogue and the village will be attacked by the terrorist organization, the Akatsuki, and evil mastermind, Orochimaru. Following up, we have Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, which continues the story as Naruto returns to the village, trains and sets out to save the Hidden Sand village and help rescue his rogue friend, Sasuke, not knowing he will acquire great power and face terrible monstrocities along the way. Now, we are up to Naruto chasing after Tobi and the war beginning with Madara Uchiha now released. Who will live, who will die? The games add more playable characters and skins, as well as maps within each new installment, as well as cut scenes and very cinematic battles in high definition. Anime content is found every time in these games, so quit being a baka and consider buying this game. The game has an interesting new game-play and story, as well as new features and a lot of downloadable content set to release for the game after all.

Gameplay has drastically improved and opened up new windows for fans of this series. Much like how we saw in the PSP game series of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes, wall running is a feature that has been placed back into the game, which will definitely make the fighting very realistic and like the anime, and you don’t have to even follow the player, you can face them from the ground, so don’t worry, your cowardice can still live on, it won’t be eliminated from game (just kidding… well, maybe.) Go ahead, summon your clones and throw a Rasen-Shuriken from the ground to your enemy above. Moving right along, another interesting addition will be the “Leader Swap” ability, which allows you to switch from your main character to your support characters in a team battle, which will definitely make things hectic and unpredictable. To make things fair, you will share the same life bar as the previous character and be in awakened state, so that this cannot be abused. Another cool thing is that Awakening, Drive and Ultimate can no longer be chosen from, it will all be incorporated in your character like the previous games, which makes things a lot more fair, because awakening state is powerful, and so is drive, if used correctly. You will also be able to choose your jutsu setup and ultimate jutsu setup, which are basically your abilities and special abilities that allow you to damage a character better and is formed from gathering up chakra, or energy if you will, like in ki from Akira Toriyama‘s Dragon Ball Z. Another cool feature, which is also seen in Dragon Ball Z games, is that your outfit can be damaged and it can be shown, for example, burns will leave fire on your clothing for a few seconds, and can be extinguished with water. Stages can also be destroyed, which adds to the fun more and more! Makes you want to play, huh? If this hasn’t entertained you, let the game do that for you.

DLC! DLC! Yes, a lot of that will be added. If you pre-ordered, the game will give you extra playable characters, such as Boruto and Saada from the new upcoming anime, Boruto, Boruto: The Movie, and Naruto: The Last, such as Hokage Naruto, Adult Sasuke with the Rinnegan ability, skins for characters like Hokage Kakashi’s outfit and even extra maps, such as Kusagakure Cave and the Hokage Mansion. The Season Pass doubles all of that by a lot, which by the way is said to give the game about 108 playable characters, including the never-before implemented Sound Ninja Four, Jirobo, Kidomaru, Tayuya and Sakon & Ukon from the first Naruto series. Each DLC will provide new story modes, such as Shikamaru and Gaara’s Tale, and so will the base game after you complete the main story line, which is something to definitely look forward to. That is all that can be shared, it is a pretty straight forward game. The game is developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco-Bandai Games, which will be released onto the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Steam (yes, this means PC!) The game’s set release is February 5th, but released February 4th, so go out and buy the game now. Happy Valentine’s Day, and I hope you all fall in love with this beautiful game! Such a game requires lengthy reviews, what more can I say?
