Freshman Jayda Frett in this Spring’s Female Future Star! Jayda is coming off a great freshman year as a member of the Girls Basketball team. Not only was Jayda starting at forward on the Varsity team, she helped lead the Cougars to the playoffs! Jayda took her game to the next level in the playoffs, doubling her points and rebounding average during the Cougars’ playoff run. Not only is Jayda a great basketball player, she has also joined the Girls Flag Football team. She is truly an athlete on the rise!
Jayda loves to be active and compete. She feels one of her greatest strengths in her ability to stay focused. Once she starts something, she never gives up. However, she admits that once and awhile she can get side tracked by distractions. Her goal this spring is to have a great football season and learn as much as possible about the team’s offense and defense. Basketball is Jayda’s first love, but she is really excited about football and trying something new.
Jayda’s advice to new student/athletes is to give your all to everything you do. Dedicate yourself to your team and bring passion to every practice and game. Most importantly, have fun!
Jayda is very grateful to Coach Patamarapipan for nominating her for this honor. Coach P saw something special in her this year. She will be a major part of FDR sports for the next four years! Luckly for us!
