Are you new at FDR? Have a lot of free time? Interested in trying new things? Want to meet new people? FDR has the perfect variety of solutions for you!

Our school has everything to become your second home and make you happy. The variety of clubs and teams are great here at FDR. Anyone can join them, no matter if you are a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior! All of the clubs, sports, and tutors take place after 8th or 9th period.

Are you planning to become a businessman? Join our new DECA club! Learn all about marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. You will learn the basic stuff and become more aware the exciting business world. You will have a chance to prepare for college and become a professional. You will meet new people and share your knowledge with them.  This is not the only club at FDR! For a list of clubs, advisers, and room numbers, swing by  room 119 for more details.

Do you want to be in a good shape or are you always dreaming to become a sport star? Then join our sport teams! Table Tennis, Tennis, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, and Bowling are all here at FDR. Enjoy your time at practices with a couple of new good friends and great coaches! Learn something new and become a captain if you have what it takes! Be a part of a competitive team and win games for your school. Joining a team looks great on your college resume. See Mr. Stanco in room 121 for more information!

Are you struggling with the language or some specific subjects? FDR High School has some free tutoring for you, to help you succeed in class. Plus… it’ll help you to raise you GPA. Visit the Guidance Office and check with your counselor about available tutoring.

Do you want to make FDR a better place for all students? Then, join the Student Government. Their responsibilities are to promote school events, represent FDR outside our school, and solve problems for our Cougars by meeting regularly with Principal Katz.  The goal of these students is to involve all of FDR’s students at the school. The Student Government team is also preparing for a few of the major fall events this month. The Homecoming Dance, Breast Cancer Walk, and the Hispanic Food Festival are all in October! You can always find more information about any of the events in room 119, check the flat screen TVs in our hallways, and listen for the announcements every morning during 3rd period.
