Congratulations to our ASPIRA members Lindsay Bueno, Isai Apacaja and Julio Sacalxot for being selected to represent our school at the statewide 33rd annual Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican and Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute in Albany last week. This organization teaches students with ties to Spanish speaking countries about civic engagement and the political process. Their hard work led them to win scholarships for postsecondary studies totaling more than $5000! We are so proud of them! FDR is also proud to announce that our state coordinator, Ms. Emely Gardulio, planned this event.
