Organic Food

Organic+Food

pg 2, pic 2 (800x533)Organic food is known to be greatly beneficial. Organic food, as opposed to conventional food, is produced using organic farming. Organic farming does not involve the use of modern synthetic inputs such as chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Such foods are also not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives.

Although organic food tends to be more expensive, it is healthier and more nutrition than conventional food. Conventional foods often have harsh chemical pesticide residues left on them, which organic foods don’t have. Organic food is also fresher and taste better, because of the lack of artificial preservatives. Organic farming is also better for the environment. It reduces water, air, and soil pollution. It reduces soil erosion, increases soil fertility, and uses less energy. Organic food tends to have higher levels minerals and antioxidants.

Visit your local farmers market where farmers sell their products directly to the consumers, for fresh organic food.
