SCRUBS

SCRUBS

ScrubsScrubs is a comedy-drama series based on the “mental” thoughts of an intern medical student. The show first aired on October 2, 2001 and concluded on March 17, 2010. The main character of the series is J.D, a very nerdy intern, who constantly has inner thoughts that the audience can hear. These thoughts usually tell the story to the viewer, as they watch the show. The first episode of the series is J.Ds first day at Sacred Heart Medical Hospital. J.D is accompanied by his college friend and surgeon, Turk. Both characters are faced with an annoying and very diabolical chief of medicine that no one likes. Each season of the show is a new year and each character grows from an intern to a successful doctors at the hospital. Throughout the series, J.D goes through many different challenges- be it girls or having to deal with the death of a patient that had become a friend. As a whole, this series keeps you wanting more. It will make you laugh, and it will make you cry. Season 9 was supposed to be the final season, but due to a large demand for the show’s return, a new company took over and released a tenth season. This tenth season was so bad that only 4 episodes aired, and it only contained a fraction of the original cast. Scrubs is a very enjoyable television show and very much worth the watch.  All ten seasons are available on Netflix.  Check it out on the next rainy day.
