The FDR High School girls varsity softball team has wrapped up a challenging season, finishing with a record of 0-14. Despite the tough losses, the team is choosing to stay positive, united by their determination to grow stronger and build a brighter future on the field.
Led by a group of dedicated players and coaches, the team is already looking forward to next season. With hard work, new strategies, and a continued passion for the game, the players are committed to turning things around and learning from the obstacles they faced this year.
We spoke with senior Brianna Morales, a graduating utility player who primarily played catcher this season. As a leader and mentor to her teammates, Brianna offered a message of hope and encouragement for those continuing the journey, “Even if the other team scores, don’t let that bring down your mood because you can always score more than them and win the game.”
Brianna’s positive attitude and love for the game have been a guiding light for the team during a tough season. Sadly she will be graduating this June but her advice and her dedicated team spirit and leader mentality will remain with the players who take the field next year. A big shout out to all our seniors Aleena Rivera, Sofia Rioja, Arely Garcia Lozada, and Grace Acevedo-Reyes for your commitment to the team!
The FDR girls varsity softball team is down, but not out. With new try outs upcoming , much more focus and a greater team spirit, they plan on strengthening their weakness and get ready to shine in the seasons ahead.
