The New Dealer family is proud to have their four year veteran, Rossevelt Ettienne,  named this October’s Male Athlete of the Month. According to Coach Cinamon, Roosevelt  should be Athlete of the Month because he is a true leader.  He is an AP and Honors student, which demands a very heavy workload during the week and on weekends.  Yet he has still been able to maintain his grades while participating on the Varsity Football team.  He has been able to manage his schedule effectively and perform at a very high level in both, his academic and athletic endeavors.

On the football field, Roosevelt, has been elected captain and truly leads by example on and off the field.  He is a running back and linebacker who never comes off the field.  Over his first five games, Roosevelt has 43 tackles, a defensive touchdown, a fumble recovery ,and an interception. On offense, he also has two rushing touchdowns.

Roosevelt is maintaining his 3.7 GPA, working as a student ambassador, and on the school newspaper.
