Congratulations to Nicole Lu, the Editor-in-Chief of the FDR Yearbook edition for 2024. In a recent interview, Nicole shared her experiences being provided a significant role, highlighting the challenges, and successes that come with creating a lasting memory for the graduating class. Nicole emphasized that the unique experience in the yearbook production has highlighted the importance of persistence, communication, and responsibility among the yearbook team. Despite obstacles, she expressed confidence in finishing strong, while recognizing the work that still lies ahead.

Nicole addressed personal challenges, and says she struggles with assertiveness and effective communication within the production team. Overcoming these obstacles involved collaboration with key figures like Mr. Pipitone, the Yearbook Manager Kenzy, and a dedicated team of editors – Zaeila, Mia, Nicolle, Dulce, and Jezz. Their collaborative efforts play a pivotal role in steering the yearbook production in the right direction. To add on, Nicole highlighted the necessity of dedicating substantial time outside of school hours, to make sure the Yearbook is as close to perfection as possible.  Amidst the challenges, Nicole cherishes a memorable Thanksgiving party that brought the team together, after all the hard work and stress. Everyone brought their own homemade food, or purchased snacks, creating a celebration of the hard work done throughout the term.

For Nicole, the Yearbook is more than just a collection of photos and memories; it’s a representation of the unique stories that make up the graduating class of 2024. Each piece of the puzzle symbolizes the diverse experiences, positivity, and resilience that define the members of this class. Nicole’s dedication and leadership ensure that these individual stories come together to form a cohesive narrative that will be cherished for years to come!
