This year, the senior dinner will not only be a formal dinner. It will be an interactive Murder Mystery, and the theme will be an interesting masquerade. The formal attire, combined with masks, will change the evening into a mystery dinner where everyone will be involved. The seniors will not just be attending a dinner, they will be in a dramatic scene filled with mystery, suspense, and surprises.
To start the evening, each guest will be assigned a character role that relates them to the overall story. The roles may include interesting personalities, motives, or mysterious relationships with the “guests” attending the masquerade event. There is no acting experience required, and people can choose the extent to which they want to immerse themselves into the roles, whether it is acting or simply playing the roles and enjoying the evening. Perhaps this is part of the mystery.
As the meal continues, parts of the story will be revealed. There will be opportunities for guests to ask each other questions, and clues will be discovered from the conversation and interactions. All guests will be both a character in the story and a detective figuring out what is going on. Observing details, listening, and thinking will all help guests put the pieces of the mystery together.
At a key moment in the evening, the crime will be revealed, and the atmosphere will shift from curiosity to investigation. From there, seniors will work together and sometimes against each other to determine who is responsible. Accusations, and dramatic revelations will all be part of the fun as the night builds with suspense.
At the end of the night, the guests will be asked to submit their guesses before the reveal. Some of the guests will have solved the case, while others will be surprised by the results. However, the masquerade murder mystery will be a night to remember as the senior class comes together for a final night of laughter.
Behind every mask, there’s a secret and for one night only, everyone has something to hide. Kill the curiosity and get more information in room 119 once they announce the date of the event. Spots will be very limited!
