Girls Soccer Is Making Strides

Girls+Soccer+Is+Making+Strides

The Lady Cougars Soccer team is off to a tough start.  Losing 0-4 in their last game, the Girls Soccer team has improved greatly, but have a lot more work to do. Coming from scores of 0-6 or 1-8, the team has improved not only on its defensive line, but offensively, progressing the ball forward towards the opposing team’s goal. Although they have recovered from their last defeat against Brooklyn Tech High School, the girls must strive to keep the score at 0-0 or make more goals.

With Viviana and Jocelyn Gonzales being sisters, and captains of the team, both girls have passed their talent and passion for soccer to the other girls on the team.  They have been especially helpful to the beginners on the team. The girls within the team have grown closer together and become one on and off the field- not only a sisterhood but a family.
While this has been a year of struggles and learning, the girls have remained very positive thanks to the dedication of their coaches Mr. Pandandrea and Mr. Patamarapipan! LET’S GO COUGARS, LET’S GO!!
