As the New Year arrives it brings a bunch of great music with it. Recently artists like Halsey, Selena Gomez, and Dua Lipa have dropped their new albums which people seems to love a lot, including myself.

Halsey recently dropped her new album MANIC. The 25 year old songwriter opens up about her bipolar disorder, but there are other things she sings about on her album- such as hope, fear, and romance. Halsey was born as Ashley Frangipane in Edison, N.J. She played the violin, viola, and cello until moving on to acoustic guitar when she was 14 year old. She has two younger brothers name Sevian and Dante. Her parents did many jobs, and she had to moved a lot. The album MANIC, tells us many things, including how to turn your loneliness into your strength. The song YOU SHOULD BE SAD from MANIC debuted at No. 29 on billboard’s hot 100 chart.

Selena Gomez’s new album is titled RARE. It’s been quite a while since Gomez released a song. Gomez began her song writing and recording back in 2016. But she had to deal with some personal and health issues, like her kidney transplant, and her past relationships with Justin Bieber and The Weekend. Her new album RARE is about what her life looks like on the other sides of those traumas. RARE show’s us a different side of Selena’s life. This is exactly what her fans have been waiting for. The 27 year old singer has been through a lot for such a young age, and her fans are incredibly happy with her new album. To be honest, I cannot wait to see what the artist has in mind for her future projects.

DUA LIPA is all set to drop her new album FUTURE NOSTALGIA. The 61st Grammy winner is back with another album. On this new album the music will incorporate disco and pop. LIPA was born in London, but her parents are from Albanian. Her name means “Love” in Albanian. She began her career by uploading her music on Soundcloud. LIPA is currently kicking off her new tour. Her tour will start in Madrid on April 26th, and it will stop in 19 cities across Europe and ends in Dublin, on June 19th. Her song DON’T START NOW from her new album debuted at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart. The song debut at No. 14 on Billboard’s top 100. The 24 year old singer has gained a lot of fame for herself in just a couple of years.

All three of these young women have made quite a name for themselves in the music industry. The singers are off to a great start with their year already.
