A Totally “Unbiased” Ranking / Rating Of Holiday Songs

A+Totally+%E2%80%9CUnbiased%E2%80%9D+Ranking+%2F+Rating+Of+Holiday+Songs

The title says it all, no need to explain. I’m sorry if I don’t include a song you like, there’s a lot of them, I’m only one person. ? Oh, in case it wasn’t clear, this is totally biased, so don’t actually take this seriously…

A Tier:

  • Winter Wonderland❄️: This song perfectly embodies the holiday feeling without having to mention Christmas (not that I have a problem with that, it’s just nice that it’s more inclusive)! It has great vibes and even if you don’t remember all the lyrics, the ones that you do remember gets stuck in your head. It’s also the perfect balance of mellow and upbeat! I would 100% listen to this song on loop without complaining.

B Tier:

  • Let It Snow ?️: This song can be sung loud! It is cheery, relaxed and cozy, either way, it’s great. I prefer the “relaxed and cozy” version more though, if that makes any sense at all. This song gives off the same vibes as snuggling in a bunch of warm, fluffy blankets with a nice cup of hot chocolate and just enjoying the moment. Like, “Winter Wonderland,” it doesn’t mention Christmas! I could listen to this song in a loop and not go crazy, or at least not as quickly as I would for others…

C Tier:

  • Frosty the Snowman ☃️: This is one of the few holiday songs that I could probably sing most of the lyrics from by memory. It’s just one of those songs that get ingrained into your brain. Although the ending is quite sad, and somewhat dark, it’s otherwise a wholesome song about a snowman becoming alive and enjoying his short, but well-lived, life.

  • The Chanukah Song ?: I’ll be totally honest, I only just recently discovered this song, but I’m glad I did! It’s true that Hanukkah tends to be overshadowed by Christmas, but that doesn’t make the holiday any less special or important! While I’m unaware of whether or not there are other Hanukkah songs, I believe this one is a great addition as it’s not only educational, but actually fairly funny. Seriously, I actually laughed at some of the lyrics! I think everyone should hear this song at least once in their lives.

D Tier:

  • All I Want For Christmas Is You ?: She’s already been defrosted. Retail workers are shaking in their boots. I don’t actually have much to say about this song, all I know is that it gets played a lot. Like, a lot. I look forward to the memes about this song more than I do the actual song. It’s iconic, but it doesn’t do anything for me.

E Tier:

  • Jingle Bells ?: It’s a classic, but there’s something about this song that just gives me a headache. This is the exact kind of song every single child would be forced to sing during the holidays. I should know, I was one of them. I would be fine listening to it every now and then (if I must), but any sane person would lose their mind listening to this in a loop. You can only be so jolly…

  • Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ?: Cute song for kids…or is it??? Honestly, the only lyrics I ever knew of this song were “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer had a very shiny nose,” and that was it. I don’t know how or when I heard the rest of the lyrics, but man, is it sad. Poor Rudolph literally gets bullied for his red nose, “All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names. They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.” Then when ole Santa Claus recruited him for his shiny nose, all of a sudden, the reindeer “loved” him, Um, fake much? Also, why didn’t Santa Claus do or say anything to the reindeer that were bullying Rudolph? Suspicious….very suspicious.

Welp, that’s all for now folks! I’m terribly sorry (not really) if I missed a song you happen to like or if I ranked your song “wrong” (also not really). Like I said before, I’m only one person and there’s just an insane amount of holiday songs that exist. To try and rank all of them would be the work of a madman and I’m not quite there yet….Anywho, all that’s left to say is that I wish you a happy and healthy holiday season! Till next time, dear reader! ?
